LVT, LVP & VCT Floor Restoration in New Jersey

Professional vinyl floor cleaning and restoration for New Jersey homes and businesses. HQ evaluates LVT, LVP and VCT for deep cleaning and compatible protective recoating with the Bona resilient-floor system. Find out whether your existing floor can be renewed before you replace it.

BEFORE REPLACEMENT

Can your existing vinyl floor be renewed?

A floor that looks tired may need cleaning or a new protective finish. HQ evaluates the floor material, existing coating, condition and intended use before recommending a treatment. The goal is to preserve a suitable floor while giving you a clear scope, realistic expectations and a plan for ongoing care.

THE HQ APPROACH

LVT and LVP deep cleaning with Bona PowerScrubber

HQ offers professional LVT and LVP floor cleaning with Bona PowerScrubber for suitable floors. We assess the surface, seams and maintenance history, then select compatible brushes, cleaning products and machine settings. This standalone service targets removable soil and residue; a new coating is not automatically required. Cleaning does not repair a damaged printed layer or deep scratches. If the floor also needs protective renewal, we can evaluate a separate recoating proposal.

THE HQ APPROACH

VCT floor cleaning, stripping and waxing: compare the options

Vinyl composition tile often has a maintenance finish that needs its own care plan. If you are looking for VCT floor cleaning or stripping and waxing, tell HQ which finishes have been applied and how the floor is maintained. Conventional finish maintenance and a Bona resilient-floor coating are different approaches. We evaluate preparation, traffic, appearance and future cleaning needs before proposing the appropriate scope.

THE HQ APPROACH

A Bona system selected for your floor

Bona offers dedicated resilient-floor coatings, including US Bona Pure HD. This service uses products intended for the assessed surface rather than treating vinyl like hardwood. HQ will identify the proposed coating and preparation in the project scope. Other resilient materials, including sheet vinyl, linoleum and rubber, require a separate compatibility review.

THE HQ APPROACH

Commercial vinyl floor cleaning and renewal

We review requests from homeowners, property managers and businesses throughout New Jersey. Tell us about the rooms or operating areas, approximate square footage, furniture and equipment, existing maintenance products and available access. Clinics, offices, retail spaces and rental properties can have very different scheduling needs.

THE HQ APPROACH

What the assessment should answer

Is cleaning enough? Is the floor suitable for a recoat? What damage remains visible? Which areas need repair? What work and access are required? What will ongoing care involve? HQ uses those questions to develop the proposed scope before a start date is agreed.

THE HQ APPROACH

Compare restoration with replacement

Ask for a clear comparison of the work involved. Replacement may include removal, disposal, substrate preparation, new material and installation. Restoration is worth evaluating when the existing floor can remain in service. Actual cost and disruption depend on the property and the condition of the floor.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Plan your floor renewal.

Do I need vinyl floor cleaning or a protective recoat?

Start with an assessment of the surface and its care history. Cleaning may be enough when the main issue is removable soil or residue. A compatible protective recoat may be worth considering when a sound floor needs surface renewal. Deep damage, loose planks or failed seams need separate evaluation; neither cleaning nor a clear coat fixes every floor problem.

Can I book LVT or LVP cleaning without a new coating?

Yes. HQ offers deep cleaning as a standalone service for suitable LVT and LVP floors using Bona PowerScrubber. We review the floor condition and manufacturer care requirements before selecting the cleaning approach. If cleaning is enough, a protective recoat is not part of the required treatment.

Can LVP or LVT flooring be refinished?

Some sound luxury vinyl floors can receive a compatible protective recoat. This differs from sanding hardwood down to bare wood. HQ first checks the floor, its existing surface and care history, then determines whether cleaning, recoating, localized repair or replacement is appropriate.

Is this the same as stripping and waxing a floor?

No. VCT strip-and-wax services renew a conventional floor-finish system. A resilient-floor recoat uses a different protective coating and maintenance plan. HQ can explain the options for your existing surface so you can compare the proposed work and ongoing care.

Will a clear coat remove every scratch?

No. A clear recoat does not recreate a missing printed design or fix loose planks, failed seams or damage below the surface. Tell us about deep scratches, lifting edges and water damage so those issues can be evaluated before a coating is proposed.

Can you work with an occupied business?

Tell us your operating hours, available closure window, furniture and equipment, and access requirements. The proposal will define the work area and return-to-use plan. Work time, drying and full cure are different milestones; immediate reopening is not assumed.

How much does LVT, LVP or VCT restoration cost?

Pricing follows an assessment. Floor area, material, old finish buildup, preparation, repairs, access, furniture handling and the selected coating all affect the scope. Ask HQ to compare a defined restoration proposal with the work that replacement would require.

Does every vinyl floor qualify?

No. The flooring identity, installation, condition, existing coatings and manufacturer care requirements must be reviewed. A compatibility test helps determine suitability. A coating cannot correct a failed installation, and a new coating does not automatically preserve the original flooring warranty.

Do you offer this for homes as well as commercial spaces?

HQ reviews residential and commercial requests across New Jersey. Tell us whether the floor is in a home, rental property, shop, office or other facility, together with the approximate area and the condition you want to address.

What care does a renewed floor need?

Keep the written care instructions for the selected coating and share them with anyone cleaning the floor. Routine cleaning and future maintenance remain necessary. Avoid adding unapproved waxes or polishes; the appropriate care plan depends on the installed system and how the space is used.
