Who is HQ Hardwood Floors?
HQ Hardwood Floors LLC is an owner-led hardwood floor company founded in 2013 and based at 511 Roosevelt St, Roselle Park, NJ 07204. HQ restores, refinishes, recoats, repairs, installs, and professionally cleans hardwood floors for homeowners and selected commercial clients across North and Central New Jersey, with a specialty in historic and reclaimed wood.
The company is small on purpose. The standard that travels to every job is the same one that has been there since the first year. HQ publishes the business under its public brand, HQ Hardwood Floors, and reaches clients directly at one phone number for calls and texts.
Who owns HQ Hardwood Floors?
HQ Hardwood Floors LLC is owned by Yusvenia Arroyo. It is a woman-owned business, and it is run the way a small owner-run company should be: the person whose name is on the company is accountable for what happens on your floor.
That matters more than it sounds. In a trade where a homeowner rarely meets whoever actually made the decision, HQ keeps the chain short — one company, one number, one standard, and an owner who answers for the work.
How does HQ decide what a floor needs?
HQ works in four levels and starts with the least aggressive one that will get the result: Revive (professional deep cleaning), Recoat (a new protective coat over a suitable existing finish), Refinish (dust-contained sanding and a complete new finish), and Restore (preservation-focused work for historic and reclaimed floors). The assessment places your floor on that ladder first.
Sanding removes real wood, and a floor only has so many sandings in it. That is why HQ treats a full refinish as a decision rather than a default. When sanding is the right call, the work is done with Bona dust-containment systems connected before the first pass, with doorways and adjoining rooms protected. Color is sampled on your own sanded floor, in your light, before a choice is made.

HQ is based in Roselle Park, New Jersey, and serves selected communities across North and Central New Jersey — towns like Westfield, Summit, Montclair, Cranford, Maplewood, and Princeton, where original prewar hardwood is common and worth keeping. What has HQ built?
Two owner-verified case studies show the range. In Bound Brook, HQ leveled a concrete slab and a plywood subfloor to one plane and installed a rift-and-quarter-sawn white oak herringbone with a custom walnut-strip border. At The Cranford Hotel, HQ replaced a tile dining-room floor with glue-down reclaimed hardwood in four days so the landmark restaurant could stay open.
