After the final coat, furniture returns in roughly three to seven days — each Bona waterborne finish has its own cure schedule, and HQ tells you exactly what yours requires. A professional deep clean or a recoat, by contrast, is measured in hours.
How do I make my floors last between refinishes?
For high-traffic areas, HQ recommends a professional maintenance coat roughly every two to three years. If you like your floor's color and it only looks a little tired — or you have a prefinished floor and just want a different sheen or renewed protection — a maintenance coat can save it without sanding to bare wood.
