ASSESS FIRST

Keep the floor.
Choose the right care.

HQ Hardwood Floors evaluates your floor before proposing a treatment. We review the material, existing finish, wear and maintenance history, then explain what cleaning can address and what may need a different scope.

Bona PowerScrubber is part of our professional cleaning approach on suitable surfaces. Equipment, cleaning products and settings are selected for the actual floor; a wood-floor process is not automatically a vinyl-floor process.

Share your city, ZIP code and photos so HQ can review the request and confirm the next step.

WOOD FLOOR CARE

Hardwood and
engineered wood.

Cleaning targets surface soil and residue. A screen-and-recoat or other maintenance-coat approach is a separate service for a suitable, compatible finish. Wax, polish, previous coatings and exposed wood can change the recommendation.

Deep wear, a color change or damaged boards may call for repairs or refinishing. For engineered wood, sanding eligibility needs its own assessment.

VINYL FLOOR CARE

LVP and LVT.
Cleaning comes first.

Luxury vinyl floors can accumulate soil and maintenance-product residue. HQ reviews the floor, seams, condition and manufacturer care guidance before selecting a professional cleaning process.

You can request cleaning alone. Any protective renewal coating is evaluated separately; it is not a default step or a repair for a damaged wear layer.

REAL HQ PROCESS

Wood cleaning,
documented.

PLAN YOUR PROJECT

Homes, condos
and managed properties.

For a condominium, include elevator reservations, contractor documentation and permitted work hours. For an occupied home, identify the rooms, furniture and access needs. HQ confirms the scope and work window after review, including product-specific return-to-use instructions.

If your request is for installation, floor leveling, repair or restoration, include it in your assessment request. Those are separate scopes rather than extensions of a cleaning quote.

BEFORE YOU BOOK

Questions about
your floor.

Does a dull floor need cleaning or refinishing?

That depends on whether the appearance comes from soil, maintenance-product residue or wear in the finish and flooring. Cleaning addresses surface contamination; it does not remove deep scratches or change wood color. HQ evaluates the material and condition before recommending cleaning, a compatible recoat, repair or refinishing.

Can engineered wood floors be professionally cleaned?

HQ evaluates engineered wood for cleaning based on the existing finish, condition and manufacturer care instructions. Cleaning is a separate decision from sanding. If refinishing is requested, the construction and usable wear layer need their own assessment.

Does LVP or LVT need a coating after cleaning?

Not automatically. You can request cleaning alone. Protective renewal is considered separately, with manufacturer guidance, surface condition and compatibility determining whether a coating is appropriate.

What affects the quote and schedule?

Floor area, material, condition, previous cleaning products, furniture and access requirements all affect the scope. Include your city and ZIP code, photos and any condominium work-hour or elevator requirements. HQ confirms the proposed treatment, price and schedule after review.
