Can a factory-finished hardwood floor be recoated?
A prefinished floor may qualify for recoating when the finish is intact and compatible with the proposed system. Factory finish, cleaning-product residue and existing wear all matter. A recoat does not remove bevels or change the stain color. HQ evaluates compatibility before recommending a recoat or a different treatment.
